Perth might fly under the radar, but it’s a big hitting city, for sure
Which Australian city pops into your mind first? Probably Sydney, perhaps then followed by Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, and Victoria. Do you give much thought to Perth?
The state capital of Western Australia is a vibrant, fun, and wonderful city to visit, and it is surrounded by some beautiful landscapes too. Not too far away from the city centre you have the inviting waters of the wonderfully warm Indian Ocean, and within that there are two iconic areas – Ningaloo Reef and Shark Bay; whilst these aren’t strictly speaking within the city itself, they are very easily accessible from Perth, and that makes the city the ideal blend of two worlds.
Getting around Perth is very easy, even for newcomers to the city, but if you want to arrive in style, have you thought about hiring a limo from the airport? This is the best way to arrive, because you’ll be chilled out, full of excitement, and everyone will think you’re an incoming celebrity!
The Hills is an area around the city which is made for nature lovers, with wineries to check out, walking trails, mountain biking, river walking, and basically taking in big lungfuls of fresh air! The coastline isn’t too far away, as we mentioned, and here you can watch stunning sunsets, learn to surf, swim, fish, and chill out with stunning surroundings everywhere you look.
Kids will love the Aquarium and Zoo, both of which house countless species of animals and marinelife, and the beach is another activity they will certainly enjoy. For the adults out there, there are countless clubs, with vibrant nightlife to sample, as well as many restaurants and shopping opportunities.
Put simply, Perth should not be left behind when it comes to naming the biggest and most famous Australian cities on the map. With a home away from home feel, a friendly vibe, and plenty to see and do, with history everywhere you look, Perth should certainly be on your visit list, and you can easily combine it with checking out some of the other natural wonders in the area, such as Shark Bay or Ningaloo Reef, as we mentioned before.
Nature, nightlife, shopping, city life, and everything else you can imagine, Perth really is a city which flies under the radar but harbours some fantastic secrets to discover during your visit, natural, modern, and new.
